The Cat in the Hat, along with Thing 1 and Thing 2, joined DECA students from Washington High yesterday in celebrating Read Across America Day with Driswood Elementary students. Did you know that Read Across America is part of National Reading Month? Reading with children promotes a love of learning, develops an understanding of the diverse world around us, and cultivates empathy. And modeling reading in your home demonstrates that books can provide both information and enjoyment. So, grab a book and celebrate today - and every day!
