Canvas is a learning management system (LMS) that allows teachers to provide instructional support, class calendars, assignments, and resources for students in a safe online environment. For traditional face-to-face classes, Canvas is an integral part of sharing blended classroom instruction. Canvas is the best way to communicate directly with a student's teacher.
JCS Text Messaging
Jefferson County Schools has a number of ways to communicate with students and their families, but sometimes we need to connect quickly and directly. In those instances, any cell phone number connected to a student through one of our schools can receive text message alerts.
Information about school closings, safety, transportation, child nutrition, and any other urgent matter that affects students will be shared through this channel.
