Jefferson County Schools Student Transfer
Transfer requests for the 2024-25 school year must be submitted no later than January 31, 2024.
Requests submitted outside of the open transfer season will be considered under extenuating circumstances.
Any eligible elementary, middle, or high school student may apply for enrollment in any school with grade level capacity and existing programs and services currently outside the district in which the student resides.

Please note:
All transfers are contingent upon the parent/guardian providing transportation and the student maintaining satisfactory attendance, behavior, and timely remittance of lunch bills and school debts.
The West Virginia Department of Education mandates a maximum number of students per class (grades K-6). Therefore, if the student's class size exceeds the maximum limit, the transfer will be rescinded. The decision to rescind a transfer may be made up to and including the first day of the school year.
