Volunteers from the Jefferson County Schools Transportation Department once again demonstrated their support for JCS students with their annual Stuff-A-Bus event. Officials collected enough school supplies to distribute 140 bookbags to schools throughout the district.
"[The event] was a huge success," said Heather Pindell, Transportation Supervisor with Jefferson County Schools. "The community has been wonderful with donations to this cause."
Pindell also expressed her gratitude to the Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County for their gift of 150 bookbags to assist with the drive. Families who remain in need of school supplies may contact 304-885-5096 or hpindell@k12.wv.us for assistance.
