In September, Four members of Jefferson High School's Leadership Academy attended the Chick-fil-A Leadership Summit in Fairmont, WV, accompanied by their advisor, Amy Vickers. JHS students Danica Weaver, Elizabeth McCarroll, Julia Lassen, and Kendall Vickers joined student-athletes from across the state to develop leadership skills and engage in meaningful discussions. The event was hosted in partnership with the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission (WVSSAC).

The four attendees were selected for their strong leadership qualities and dedication to their teams and communities. During the summit, they participated in workshops and activities designed to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders.

Danica, Elizabeth, Julia, and Kendall represented the Cougars with pride, showing dedication to personal growth and service to their community. Their contributions at the event reflected the values of leadership, responsibility, and community engagement emphasized at JHS.
