The month of May is here! While May is the last month of the school year, it is just as important now to have regular school attendance as it is at the beginning of the school year. Your school will be doing exciting things and important learning will take place every day right through the very last day of school.

The end of the school year is quickly approaching. Lock-in now to attend school every day for the rest of the school year to have your best possible finish to school.

If you have questions about school absences, you can always contact the school attendance administrator or the Board of Education Attendance Office for help. Reach out for help before absences become an issue, and make sure you are in school all day, every day.

Welcome back from Spring Break! There are only 6 weeks of the 2024-2025 school year remaining. Be sure to attend school all day, every day through the last day of school to have a fantastic end to your school year.

Next week, the National Honor Society is holding a donation competition to help support the flood recovery efforts in Southern West Virginia. From Monday, March 24 to Friday, March 28th, each class is represented by a teacher and at the next pep rally, the teacher who raises the most money will be pied in the face. Ms. Godfrey is representing Freshman, Mr. Wenner is representing sophomores, Mrs. Darr is representing juniors, and Mrs. Lucas is representing seniors. You can donate in the designated teacher jars in the morning outside the front office before first period or at all lunch shifts in the cafeteria. If we reach $500 in total donation, the winning teacher will also get to pie Mr. Showen at the pep rally. All donations will be sent to southern West Virginia counties to help the families who were affected by the flooding. We thank everyone who donates and we can’t wait to see which lucky teacher gets pied!
