Shepherdstown Elementary School

2nd graders at S.E.S. combined math, engineering, and fun to launch a competition! As they finished their measuring unit, all students participated in a challenge to build a paper airplane that would fly the farthest! These are our top 3 winners left to right: Lexi Carey (2nd place 50 ft. 7 in.; Ethan Nguyen (1st place 65 ft. 3 in.); Christian Carr (3rd place 47 ft. 1 in.). The measures of their excitement and learning were equally high!
