Students in Ms. Waybright's math classes assembled equation puzzles and played Snowman Shuffle where they reviewed of Scientific Notation including expressing numbers in this as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing numbers in scientific notation.
Students in Ms. Triggs 8th Grade ELA classes are instantly transported to the setting of their unit on Gris Grimly's Frankenstein. Ms. Triggs has decorated her room to match the ambience and setting in the graphic novel.
7th Grade students played Horse Race in classes taught by Ms. Walters. Students in collaborative groups raced against each other to answer math problems and move their horse. Winning groups received extra credit.

Students in FACS class with Ms. Meadows created one serving pancakes last week. Students chose their mixing and toppings and learned how to make a pancake. Students were creative in their combinations.

12/8/23: Staff at Charles Town Middle School called a precautionary lockdown this morning after seeing an individual on school premises they did not recognize. There is NO DANGER to students. Staff quickly identified the individual as an approved contractor doing work on-site. We appreciate the quick action by our staff and community.
